Student Culture & Community
Who We Are
USC Student Culture & Community (SCC) is a department within USC Student Life dedicated to enhancing students’ sense of belonging, community, and well-being. Grounded in the belief that You Belong at USC, SCC creates environments where students can engage in campus life, build supportive relationships, and grow throughout their university experience.
SCC includes a collective of student-facing centers, lounges, and programs that promote connection, support, and student success. These include Asian Pacific American Student Services, Center for Black Cultural and Student Affairs, First Generation Plus Success Center, La CASA, LGBTQ+ Student Center, Student Basic Needs, and Veterans Resource Center—as well as the Middle Eastern & North African Lounge and the Native American & Pasifika Student Lounge. SCC also leads initiatives such as SCC Leadership & Education and the Students with Dependents Program. Through these spaces and programs, SCC fosters belonging, honors intersectionality, and nurtures well-being across the USC community.
This program is open to all eligible individuals. SCC operates all of its programs and activities consistent with the University’s Notice of Non-Discrimination. Eligibility is not determined based on race, sex, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or any other prohibited factor.
