About Us

Student Culture & Community (SCC) is a department within USC Student Life that strengthens the student experience by fostering environments where students can connect, grow, and feel supported throughout their time at the university. Through thoughtfully designed spaces, staff-led programs, and a focus on care and belonging, SCC helps students build meaningful relationships and access the resources they need to thrive.

SCC brings together a range of student-serving areas united by a shared mission: that You Belong at USC. SCC creates opportunities for engagement, well-being, and connection. Whether through events, gatherings, or day-to-day support, each area offers pathways for students to build community and participate in campus life in ways that are affirming and empowering.

Physical spaces across campus serve as hubs where students can study, connect, reflect, or recharge. These locations are designed to be approachable, supportive, and rooted in a sense of belonging.

SCC is guided by the values of acknowledging Intersectionality , creating a sense of belonging, and nurturing wellbeing.
